Alex’s Graduation – July 6th, 2008

Although I can’t write about all the parties we had this weekend, Alex’s Graduation definitely stands out to me. Ronny and I both were on the party, and we had a blast!

First of all the rain held up, which was great. We got to play a whole range of music from 60’s, 70’s, a little 80’s, and current radio hits. It was in a beautiful backyard with 100+ of Alex’s closest friends and family. Included in the guestlist was singer/songwriter Parisa Montazaran from the Real World – Sydney cast on MTV. She couldn’t have been nicer, as her and Alex’s friends were into the Cha-Cha Slide and surprisingly enough – musical chairs! When people have a positive attitude and buy into what your presenting in the way of Entertainment, it really becomes a lot of fun for us. What started as a game for the kids turned into a game for the young adults.

Sometimes it can be difficult to get a packed dancefloor in someone’s backyard, but as long as everyone has a good time and enjoys the entertainment, that’s all that matters. We had dancers up on the floor pretty consistently, but I wouldn’t say it was packed by any stretch of the word. That’s where the icebreakers (like Scavenger Hunt for the kids and Musical Chairs for the drinkers) really take effect. Ronny and I both had microphones, so it was a pretty interesting affair having him make fun of me at every turn, but that’s what happens when we’re paired together. It’s almost like a comedy routine really.

Alex is bound for NYU and we wish him nothing but the best. We received numerous compliments and handed out a number of brochures and cards, and that’s always a plus! If you’re reading this and thinking that we’d be great on an event your planning, give us a call and find out what we can do for you!
